Today I held Arthur out to Madoc and there was some sniffing, a little retreating, and then more sniffing but NO soft hissing, like before.

14. He is the one I'm keeping

I decided that the very first time I saw him - flat ears, closed eyes, squished up little thing but I just fell in love. And, once their eyes and ears opened, he'd always either look up at me, or walk to the front of the crate when ever I stopped by. I started talking to them, right away, so that they'd know my voice, and when their eyes opened they'd see my face. Unlike Madoc and his siblings, I have never heard a hiss, spit or snarl from any of these sweet hearts.

But please never forget the not so pretty kitties in shelters, the old ones, the crippled ones, the ones with an eye missing, or an ear, or a tail, or even a leg.
The ones who have little or no chance of ever being adopted, the ones who will grow old living their lives out in a cage, or worse yet to be euthanized.
They are all beautiful in their own way…and I send each and every one of them a big “Squeee” for their beauty too.
