Remember that scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark when Indiana Jones' back was covered with tarantulas?

That happened to me, today, but it was with kittens. They are expert climbers.

Which, of course, means they are becoming VERY adept at escaping almost any containment. I want them to be a little bigger before I release them into the whole house but it's getting to be quite the challenge. They do keep me on my toes!

June 10th is the date set for Dewi and Gwen to move to their new home. I asked that I keep them through the 9th so I can get one last day with them, on my birthday. I figured they will be 2 months old, and going as a pair so that should make the transition easier for them.

I'll keep little Freya for another couple of weeks beyond the 2 month mark, and then she heads to my niece's house.

It's so humid, today, with a strong possibility of rain. That translates to KITTEN DAY!! Siwsan May 2022 #2

I just brought them down to the den and they are busy exploring, while the big boys are busy tracking them.

I ended up having to lug buckets of water up the basement stairs, from the sump pump crock. Not fun. I guess I should appreciate that, at my age, I can still handle that task.
