Back from the vet with 4 very healthy and right on track for growth/development kittens

It was more of a trial to get them into the carrier, this morning, and then out of it at the vet's. BUT all have received their first vaccination and second deworming. Dr. Schwartz seems quite taken by them. Especially Arthur.

This morning's unexpected rain showers have delayed my plans to mow the back lot. Guess I'll have to play with the kittens until things dry out.

I finally got that fourth kitten from the hoarders, so they’re going to their first trip to the vet this afternoon. Two boys, two girls, and about six weeks old I figure.

Hoping they are doing well.

I thought it interesting that when I first took these kittens in to the vet because of their eye infections, at 3 weeks of age, the vet told me he thought if they were 3 weeks old they were barely 3 weeks old. I knew they were on the cusp of 4. Today they are 7 weeks old and he said they are the perfect size for 7 to 8 week old kittens. That makes me wonder if they just weren't getting enough nutrition from their mom's milk. And made me feel good that I'm feeding them enough good food.

I’m going to be interested in what the doctor’s estimation of my kittens’ age is compared to mine. The one I just got is still pretty hissy, but the others are now enthusiastically friendly.

But eventually she just stopped.

These kittens never did have a single feral characteristic. Even a week can make such a difference.

That leaves more un-interrupted play time.

Fortunately our weather is going to be so beautiful, for the next week, I'm not worried about hurrying up to do any outdoor work in time to avoid the heat. So it will get stretched out. A week from Saturday is the pick up day for the two kittens so I want to make the most of the time I have left with the whole gang.
