Bad mornings don't last long when you have kittens

I didn't see the text from my brother, who is driving cross country, so I went to bed arguing with myself if I should try to get in touch with him. I woke up at 1:30 to see he had texted me at 9, last night. Duh! I THINK I accidentally texted back a photo of the top of the bedside table. I was pretty groggy.

Then I overslept and ALL of the felines were on the verge of starvation and most displeased with me. So I jumped out of bed, pulled on whatever clothes were near by, made their food. Spilled their food. Cleaned up their food, got them separated and fed, and then did the same for the ferals with just slightly less spillage.

Forgot to mail something so I rushed up to the post office.

Got home, put on some appropriate clothes (glad I didn't have car trouble) and there were these two. How can I stay frazzled, looking at these cuties. And the big boys, too.

Arthur is a ham for the camera, I think.

Has your brother arrived safely yet?

Thx for sharing! What a morning! Glad it all worked out & ended with this adorable pose!

He is quite the pro at cross country drives but that doesn't stop me from worrying.

But good to know he is experienced & proficient at navigating road trips.

When is he due to arrive?

Then up to coast to a memorial service, to LA to see friends and then straight up to Humboldt to help out his widowed friend. He will be traveling with his ex-wife, who is still his best friend. And mine. We are a hard family to shake.

Glad he isn't traveling alone, though!

I've never made the drive. Sounds looong.

2 more days till he arrives?

Keeping you both in calm, safe thoughts & vibes. 💓💓💓

Worked at 20th Century Fox film studio in the research library. He came back to Michigan to help me when my mom and sister were dying.

It's always nice that he can go back and visit places and friends. And he's promised to bring back some amazing wines.

Especially that he came back to help yoj when mom & sister were critically ill! What a great guy!

And, the fact that he knows the areas so well should help a bit to quell your anxiety.

It's so hard when life beats us to an emotional pulp. I get it.
