Since It's All Good...

...i can share a tense couple days with puppy (Vincent).
Last Monday, Vinny found a bottle of Baclofen we did not know we even had. Was at least 10 years old.
He chewed the bottle up & swallowed some.
Basically, he OD'd and was in doggie ICU for 2 days.
They ran a lipid suspension a couple times, but mostly monitoring. Had to go 100 miles for the ICU.
Tuesday he was unchanged, but didn't appear to be in danger. Almost comatose.
Then Wednesday, a vet student called to say he was responsive but couldn't stand up. A few hours later the vet called & said he was even better. He could stand up, but too uncoordinated to walk much.
She says it would be a good idea to come down & see him now that he knew who he was.
So, i drove down. I check in, they put me in an exam room, and a couple minutes later the doc knocks i the door.
I look up and see her face, then the dog runs(!) into the room!!!!
She says "I'm glad you decided to visit, because you can take him home."
He was a little fatigued on Thursday & Friday, but he's back to normal now.
Whew!

He's completely back to normal in every way.
In fact, i noticed something yesterday re: his memory.
We have a snaking cobblestone sidewalk in the backyard. (We live on a corner)
He was walking back to the house but looking across the side street, but was following the curves without even looking. His memory must be unaffected.
Effects on his brain was my biggest concern, but that appears to be a nonissue.
