11. They are adorable - and so colorful.

The 2 tabicos look like not only tortoiseshell, but tortoiseshell tabbies, or torbies. Instead of patches of tortoiseshell colors, or marbled tortoiseshell, they have tabby stripes interspersed with red.

My Ember is like that, except she has a lot of black - black and gray stripes with red streaks here and there. Also, a small bit of white under her chin and a little bit of white ticking on some of her black hairs. Not enough white to call her calico. She is a torbie.

I love the randomness of calico and tortoiseshell patterns. Makes their coats look so unique.
