I just found out that a distant relative operates a cat hotel

in Northern Ireland. https://windmillcathotel.co.uk/ Common ancestor was a 3rd great-grandfather so they'd be 3rd cousins or something like that. My brother tracked them down via Ancestry and visited last week, said the place (and the cousins) were lovely. How fun it would be to run a cat hotel! Maybe I'll move there to help out.

more of these in this country! There are lots of places for dogs but not so many for cats, at least where we live.

First cousins share grandparents, so count back from there.

I love cats, and it's great that there are cat hotels when needed, but I'm not sure I'd want to run one.

However, it's an icebreaker and excuse for a trip to Ireland to meet the cousins.
