My daughter sent me this lovely photo of her two girls, Banshee and Pooka.



Pooka is the gray one, and Banshee is the one who looks Siamese. They are sisters/litter mates, and I think they're about the same age as Siwsan's two "big boys," Madoc and Gryff.

My daughter says Banshee got her name because she "screamed" so much. Daughter and her boyfriend/partner then chose another name from Irish/Celtic mythology for her sister.

Pooka has just as much Siamese in her as her sister Banshee, but the "conversation" gene seems to have passed her by. She's quiet as a mouse.

through no fault of their own - that's just the voice they are born with. If human and cat share a bond of love, it becomes a loving sound pretty fast.

16. Yes, they can be pretty loud when

they feel stressed or are demanding attention. But they also have a talking voice that is not so loud.

I had a half Siamese, half tabby once. He had the Siamese body shape, ears, and eyes, but his coat was black, gray, and brown tabby striped, with a white bib.
Alex (the cat) was quite a talker. He greeted me at the door when I came home from work and would start talking as soon as I got inside. It was like he was telling me about his day while I was gone. I'd say things like, "Really? And then what happened?" And he would answer. This would go on and on. My husband cracked up laughing at our extended conversations.

Alex loved ambushung me after dinner. He would follow my husband into the living room and sit just around the corner of the hallway that led from the kitchen to the living room, waiting for me to come through after doing kitchen clean up.

My husband would tip me off on which side of the entrance Alex was waiting. I'd look down at him and say, "Hi, Alex." He'd get mad that I exposed him before he could do the ambush. Thumped his tail on the floor, breathed hard, glared at me. Then he'd follow me across the living room waiting for his chance. I'd stop halfway and turn around quickly. Alex would stop dead in his tracks. "Who? Me? I'm not following you."

Eventually, I'd forget about it and sit down to talk to my husband or watch TV. But Alex never forgot. As soon as I stood up and took a couple steps, he'd fly across the room, bat my legs a couple times, and stride away, feeling proud that he finally got me.

He was so much fun with his antics.

the time too. He'd sit on the front steps and wait for my Dad to come home. The bus stop was just across the street. That cutie would then run down the path meowing and meet Dad on the street.

19. I love talkative cats, Siamese or otherwise.

Our boy Logan, who we had for about 15 years, was all black with a white splash on his chest, and he talked a blue streak! After he died, we adopted Willow, who can make a fair amount of noise when she wants something but doesn't carry on a conversation like Logan did. As much as we love her, we still miss Logan's chattiness sometimes.

voice I use. I crack jokes. I get sadonic. I tell my 8 year old that he has passed the probation period (i've had him all 8 years), and that he can stay. I tell him that all the time. I'm pathetic.

I talk to Willow all the time. For example, any time I go anywhere, I tell her "I'm going out, but I'll be back soon!" She just looks at me like, "Okay, whatever," but I can tell she enjoys the attention.

Siamese or any mix or most of those type cats are quite vocal. I had one who didn't make a sound most of the time, she would go through the motions of meowing but no sound until she was two. Then she was very talkative. When she was small, when she felt like making noise, she could, she just didn't for some reason.
