I have a cat I just love, but she doesn't snuggle, won't sit on my lap, although she loves to purr. She will climb up on the desk I'm currently typing at, and get the other side of the keyboard and let me pet her while she purrs endlessly.

I keep on considering getting a second cat, a lap-sitter, but I do just enough travelling that it doesn't seem fair to the friends who look after my cat when I'm gone.

My kitty will lay on the arm of the couch beside me or the table beside the couch because she wants to be near me. This isn’t every day-just occasionally. I notice when it gets cooler outside she is more likely to do this. I have only had one cat really that has been a lap cat, and it was my first cat, April.
