Even when they’re old and sick and in serious undeniable decline. It’s STILL hard as hell to let them go. Been there. I’m still struggling with it, and still missing them deeply and dearly as I know you are right now.
I think we all not only understand that, but have had to walk in those shoes, also. It’s so hard to say goodbye. Even as you want their pain and suffering to end. So sad that it means they end, also. |

One of our vets once said to me that we bring our animals into our lives, knowing that we will outlive them, but we choose to do so anyway because our lives are so much richer for the being in it. It sounds as if your beloved dog was ready to move on and you did the loving thing by listening to her. It’s always hard, even when it right. |
