She is pretty adorable

It's funny. She's back to being a little 'distant', today, but if I lie down on the floor, she moves closer to me. I guess me being on the same level makes her more comfortable.

I guess I know that's the case if she repeats last night's behavior tonight. I sure hope she does because it was so lovely.

Anyway, as long as I was on the floor, I snapped this photo.

I've laid and slept on the floor when I brought in feral cats and adoptee's. It warms them up faster IMO.
I liken it to an adult crouching down to a child which makes them feel more comfortable.

Admittedly I am overly curious as to whether or not she will join everyone on the bed.

And it didn't take all that long. Maybe a week or two at most.

Sleeping on the floor is a little harder these days. Maybe just spend as much time as you can lying on the floor quietly and see what else happens!

My last cat was an adoptee after his owner passed away. Unfortunately the owner wasn't found for 3 days so my little guy had been through some things.

I slept on the floor the first few nights and in the middle of the night I felt my head being moved. I am pretty sure he was checking to see if I was alive. He watched me like a hawk from the day I got him until the day he died and he was obsessed with my head.

He'd hug it and purr like he had just caught a big game trophy. Very, very proud. Luckily he didn't have the ability to remove my head and hang it on a wall.

He'd also use his paw, pulling my jaw to look over at him to gaze into my eyes or give me a bunch of pecks. He was a very special little fella.

She'll come around. My brother in law tamed several strays and feral cats, by just hanging out where one was spotted. He'd stop by and share his lunch, just sit on the back steps to an old church. After a while he gained their trust. It seems like over the years, that's how my sister and her husband got their cats.

When they got them home and the would take them to the vet, got the necessary treatments and immunizations, set up spay or neuter and they live pampered kitty lives.

You've already passed the iffy stray stage with the precious little Carys, just give her time
