It happened again. Carys was a total snuggle bug, last night.

She was in full purr, kitty kisses and kitty nibble mode. She also spent a whole lot of time curled up on or next to me. At one point she was even snuggling with Madoc, which is very rare.

So as long as I'm horizontal, she's very confident and trusting. It's the vertical position that she's still adjusting to, but that's getting better by the day. She is s pending a whole lot more time out of the kitchen or in her yet to be discovered hiding place, and playing with the boys.

Tomorrow I will be having dinner with my friends who adopted Carys' siblings. Rest assured I will be sharing photos.

Guests bringing Carys' siblings? If so, that could help convince her that she's in good place. Probably a psychological boost for all the kitties in one way or another.

I think there have been just two Thanksgivings, over the past 15 or so years, that I haven't made the dinner and hosted it, or took it to another's house.

They live in a huge, 100+ year old farm house that has a ghost. Should be fun.

Missed that detail.

Well, if there's a ghost, probably not a good idea to bring extra kitties, they might have a rough time with that.

Have a great time! Looking forward to pictures!

I can visit with 3 of them, any time I want. That does make it much easier.

It's not just that you are horizontal, you and the environment around Carys is still. Most of the strays that I've adopted/rescued are used to so much external stimuli that it's that quiet time that allows for testing you. I'd venture it'll be a couple of months before she's a full blown lap cat lol.

still doesn't like to be a lap cat. But, he sleeps with me snuggled into my bended knee when I'm on my side or squished between my thighs when I'm on my back. He's extremely loving but not into laps!
