Carys is home from her very first vet visit.

I managed to get a hold of her by 'luring' her with some pate. Before she knew it, she was in the carrier. She was only slightly vocal on the drive there and very quiet on the drive home. I got there early and sat in the parking lot so that her stress level wouldn't have time to build. We were seen immediately, which was perfect.

The visit, itself,, went far better than I expected, which means she behaved. The vet estimated that she is between 4 and 5 months old - closer to 5 months because she's starting to get her adult canines. Her weight is about 4 1/2 lbs and she is VERY healthy. She has an appointment to be spayed on the 29th.

Now, of course, I'm going to have to work on regaining her trust. I've already broken out the treats.

The night before her spaying I will probably put her in the playpen so she will be easier to catch and get into the carrier.

3. I just love this vet clinic

When ever I've brought any of the kittens in, which ever vet I see always get a big smile on their face. They just radiate kindness and their love of animals AND compassion for pet parents when they suffer a loss. I know that from first hand experience. And the staff is great. They still ask about Gryff. I'll be taking him in, soon, for his yearly check up and I'm sure he will get a warm welcome.
