This is from about 4 years ago and was her very first time in a cone. She's a cone veteran now though. Celina has some sort of auto-immune thing going on. Her ears will turn all red and then she scratches herself bloody. We have to take her in about every 6-8 weeks to get an "allergy shot" from our regular vet to keep the cone off of her. We took her to a vet that specializes in dermatology in this photo and spent $500 for an answer that was "we don't know what's wrong with her". They sent us home with these gel caps that were too large for her to swallow and could not be crushed or cut up. Anyway, I hope that Arthur gets over this completely and there are no more cones or collars in his future.

I'm putting my hope in the fact that this issue cleared up, earlier, and flared up again after I fed them all salmon pate. And now I wonder if it's happened before I first noticed it, last month, and cleared up on its own. I never made a habit of checking cat butts, before.

Hopefully the lab work on his stool sample will come back 'clean'.
