What a contrast! Sian a week ago, and Sian today

At one point there was so much goo around her right eye, it was swollen shut. She might not enjoy the taking or application of medications but they have transformed her. I am beyond thrilled. AND she's starting to purr!!

I would put them and their bowls in a big plastic tub.

Sian is so neat. She doesn't put her feet in the bowl or her nose in the food. Maybe it's because she doesn't have any siblings that might try and steal her food.

17. She was about 5 weeks when you got her, the ears were still off to the side

Now they're on top, so she's almost 6 weeks. I wonder if those beautiful blue eyes will change color, so many of your rescues have blue or turquoise eyes. You'll know within the next week or two.

21. She did weigh in at a little over one pound, and I'd only had her inside for one day.

All of the bloat is gone so that deworming medicine is doing its job.

I ran out today and got the LAST carton of kitten milk on the shelf. I'm going to keep her on a slurry for a while and just slowly thicken it. She's getting better at eating pate but sometimes she just licks it dry of the kitten milk.

She's gaining in coordination and is VERY full of energy. She has already scaled the sides of the playpen. And she has zero fear of the kidcats. If she had her way she would be out here, now, playing with them. I'd prefer to take things a bit slower. When she's out here, she will be on my lap.

She looks like she's going to be a homewrecker, making up for lost time. Let her roughhouse with the kidcats when you're there to supervise. They'll start teaching her some cat manners.

She must be feeling so much better without the worms and eye junk.

She is good about taking the antibiotic but really hates those drops.

I still can't get over how easy it was to give her a bath.
