No more outdoor for Tudor

When I got back from my appointment I discovered the boy was COVERED in fleas. I'm talking infestation. Right in to a flea bath he went, and he was not pleased. It took me forever to get him clean and I was still combing them out while drying him. Now, I comb him all the time and never saw anything like this. I wonder if it was caused by the rain.

I'm about to go give that bedroom a good spray down/vacuuming/ wipe down, close it off and then do it again.

Torrential rain like that will bring up a lot of thing you might not expect... leas being one of them, looking for high ground or a warm body.

appointment. I don't know how you find the energy to take care of all your kittykids. I'm about the same age as you and I'm exhausted just taking care of my one kitty (she is quite the demanding diva and food obsessed). I wish you luck in de-fleaing Tudor and the room. Off topic, I'm happy to see that your appointment went well and you survived the experience.

indoor cats have been sniffing and checking him out. You have been holding him, so fleas could have jumped from Tudor to you to the other cats.

I had one cat years ago who was an escape artist. He would slip out a door faster than lightning and return a day or two later, usually with fleas. I had a terrible infestation of them one time which took a couple weeks to eliminate from the cat, furniture, carpet, and my clothing. After that, I always secured him somewhere (bathroom or his carrier) before opening my door to make sure that he didn't get out.

The indoor cats get flea treatments and combings. It's still an ongoing issue. I'm going to do a super vacuuming and steaming, this weekend. I'll give the sun room and back porch a good spraying.
