Another sweet surprise from Carys

I woke up at about 4:30 to see her sitting on the bed. As soon as she saw my eyes open she approached me for some scritches. THEN she stretched out on me and started purring!! What a great way to wake up, even if it was a bit early. The other kidcats just sat by and watched. I think they were surprised, too.

So, twice in less than 24 hours she's approached me for attention. She even came out for dinner, last night, despite my friend being in the den.

Maybe she has felt too isolated while hiding, even for a recluse. wnylib Oct 2023 #1

She jumped up on a side table that's next to the chair so I held out my hand and she started rubbing up against it. She ended up snuggled up on me, again just purring away.

It will be interesting to see how she acts once it's back to me being the only human in the house.

Like she was missing out on her fair share of affection. It's good that she's coming out of hiding even while your friend is still there. She is showing you she's not mad, she just isn't sure it's safe.

Nice way to start the day!
