And depressed, because I really MUCH rather spend my time with my dog than my co-workers. Not only are they better company, but in most cases, they're way smarter and funnier. It's such a crappy irony that in order to afford my beloved pets I have to leave them to earn money.

And so true. This is why I refuse to have a dog at this point in my life. I work too much. I feel bad enough leaving my cat, but could not imagine leaving a dog alone all that time.
I am a dog person who has always had cats. Go figure. I am also easy to be guilted.
