1. When I had cats and trees, the trees stood in a wrought iron base , so that it

would not tip over when they climbed it, nothing in the water, since the cats thought it was another water dish! Only styrofoam or plastic or natural ornaments on the tree, nothing they could ingest, nothing hung low for my Mal to disturb. My good ornaments sat in a heavy glass bowl that they left alone.
