That thing was...

Something to behold.

Not only was it a stop sign on a major Interstate Highway, if you were westbound, it was also at the bottom of the mountain. I'm talking a major pass, either Lookout or 4th of July, can't recall which one anymore. So if you had trouble keeping it together at 80,000lbs coming down a long grade and there's a stop sign and an old fashioned mining town at the bottom... to continue along I90 after making the stop, you have to make a right turn (or left if you are eastbound).


It was nice going through there when the new portion of road was finished. Saved about an hour of road time.
