Korea Sijo (시조) in English -- by translation and original poems

This is one of Prof. Mark Petersen's youtube presentations on sijo a Korean poetic literary form similar in nature to Japanese haiku which is a more familiar literary form in the US. One of Petersen's goals is to popularize sijo as an art form. In an earlier introductory video he compares haiku and sijo as forms. In the video below he discusses the nature of the construction of sijo with classical examples and their translations into English, and also original English language sijo created by US writers. The presentation is in English with translations in both languages.

One of the examples he gives is by the famous Korean poet Hwang Jini, about whom i posted earlier.
