This is probably the wrong thread but I would like to here from people who know the law

I talked to a friend of mine last night. She told me one of the most amazing stories I've ever heard.

First off I will say that I am not judging the woman's daughter as she has panic disorder and agoriphobia and many illnesses.

She has already lost 2 babies because she was high when she was pregnant when she was using opiates. Now my friend says that she is never allowed to keep a baby in the state of florida because of this. She is doing much better and only has "slips" with the drugs at times. Hopefully as time goes by she will finally be free of them completely.

So if she gets clean and sober in 10 years she will still not be able to have a child without the authorities taking it away? I find that ridiculous and I wonder if she has been mislead.

And suppose she "slips" while caring for a baby? And I would not trust the account of someone who has an ongoing dependency. They tend to put things in the best light for themselves and paint everyone else as the bad guys.
