I hate to be a grinch, but: this is not a legitimate use of the power to pull people over. You’re invoking the power of the state to compel someone to stop; it’s not a personal privilege you can make use of whenever you get a cute idea.



Not a grinch. A thoughtful free citizen who doesn’t genuflect to police whims. What would they have done if she’d fled? What if they’d smelled weed? The power to detain is the power to threaten - and ultimately use - deadly force for noncompliance. It’s not a game show.
