Georgia jury acquits man for coming to the door holding a gun when police officers came knocking

BeautifulArmsHat Retweeted

A Georgia jury acquitted a man for coming to the door holding a gun when police officers came knocking. The District Attorney responded by claiming that ordinary people don't have a right to bear arms.

2. not a gun guy at all. the best way to avoid getting shot is to not have a gun.

that said, this is an obvious open and shut case imho, even granting that i'm not seeing all the evidence presented at trial.

the government's case appears to rest on the notion that a police officer's fear renders the second amendment completely useless.
