She has a show where, on stage, she makes light of her experience with breast cancer and proceeds to remove her shirt and finish her comedy set shirtless after having had a radical double mastectomy. It was pretty thoughtful comedy with a point. I respected it.

Edit to add I also love Eddie Izard, the “Executive Transvestite”. It seems that those who’ve lost the most or survived the worst often have a very keen perspective on life and comedy seems to be a vehicle to do that.
