Gun license revocation upheld for Menallen Township gun dealerAn order to revoke the license of a Menallen Township firearms dealer was upheld for the second time, according to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. But that has not stopped the man from selling his weapons as an individual.
Scott W. Taylor, operator of Taylor's Trading Post, said his guns became his personal property and he is selling them as a private citizen. While Taylor is no longer licensed to engage in the business of selling firearms, he is permitted to sell guns as a private citizen, said Amanda Endy, secretary to the United States Attorney's Harrisburg office. "I can still sell the guns as a private citizen," Taylor said. "I don't have to do paperwork, no background checks, I just have to get the money." http://www.eveningsun.com/local/ci_24857113/gun-license-revocation-upheld-menallen-township-gun-dealer

13. I can't really call your posts "Mariner 5-like"...
...because that flyby produced useful information.

6. That is one of the flaws with th Gun Control Act
I think any remaining inventory should be auctioned off to compliant FFLs.

7. I always considered that a flaw in the GCA
while the revoked dealer can only sell off existing inventory, that could be quite extensive.
Another possibility would be to require the sales to go through a valid FFL. As the inventory is recorded it should be easy to monitor. |
