Related: About this forumConnecticut gun dealers plead guilty to federal firearms offenses
Brian Vanacore, 48, of North Branford and Greg Bodytko, 54, of Northford ran a gun store located at 2585 Berlin Turnpike, called BMG LLC. The company is also known as BMG Guns & Ammo. According to the businesss Facebook page, the Newington store was closed in December 2013.
The two were accused of having shirked a number of federally mandated responsibilities, including improperly recording information and failing to conduct background checks on firearm sales.
Its been an awesome experience these last 4 years but do to the changes in the CT gun laws we are forced to close our Newington store due to lack of business, a post on the page reads. If you need to get in touch with us you can send us a message through Facebook.

(2,436 posts)Just stay out of the business and forego furture personal ownership of firearms.
I'd be satisfied.
These 2 violated Federal law, not only should their 2A rights be permanently revoked, but they should also serve a prison term and fine to make an example and hopefully deter the next FFL dealer who might think of taking "shortcuts" on firearms purchases.

(228 posts)do the crime, do the time.
These 2 knew that they were breaking Federal law, they knowingly sold firearms to what might have been prohibited people, who then might have gone on a shooting spree, they need to sit in prison and think about that.

(228 posts)That's nothing more than a dream of prohibitionists, no, the better solution is to go after those that break the law and hopefully deter the next FFL dealer that entertains the notion of going around Federal statutes.

(17,502 posts)have been dried up a very long ago in Australia, assuming there ever were civilian machine guns there. Guess what Australian biker gangs use? home made and illegally imported pistols and homemade machine guns.

(16,974 posts)they are now prohibited persons and it would be unlawful for them to purchase or own firearms.

(2,436 posts)Avoid prison by agreeing not to seek future restoration of that "right."
