Kansas man shoots wife in the head after mistaking her for a burglar

A Kansas City woman was fighting for her life on Tuesday after her husband reportedly shot her in the head by mistake.

According to KCTV, Kansas City police responded to the scene of a shooting on East 39th Terrace South at around 5:15 a.m. on Tuesday.

Authorities said that the man shot his wife in the head because he thought someone was breaking into their house.
