Related: About this forumBurgers and Bullets and Machine Guns: Family Fun time? #1 of 575 Tripadvisor attractions in LV....
Not only can you have your youngster fire away at realistic critters and exploding targets, you can ride on an ATV and fire away with a .50 Browning .50 cal fully automatic machine gun....what says family time better than that? Except burgers and beer, which we also have!
And all in the company of certified gun instructors. What could go wrong?
Click it and weep for the sanity of the nation:

(5,455 posts)I'd want to shoot the Bren Gun, the Maxim, the Browning M2 .50 caliber and the Thompson.
Duckhunter935
(16,974 posts)I would not mind adding the M60, have not fired one in many years. I think the Thompson would be a blast.
legal and controlled, one accident in many years.
I guess we should ban roller coasters and close Six Flags.
Woman killed on Six Flags Texas roller coaster identified
She was riding The Texas Giant, the tallest steel-hybrid roller coaster in the world when she somehow fell from the ride as her young son sat by her side. Esparza expressed concern, according to witnesses, about her lap bar not being secure. Several other witnesses on social media immediately after the incident said it appeared her restraint either broke or came loose. Investigators have yet to confirm it though.

(10,136 posts)Virtually no recoil due to it being as heavy as it is. It climbs like crazy though.
Is the .50 ammo still around $4 per round?

(2,679 posts)You guys should see the new M60 E4. No more "fire a burst of six".

(23,664 posts)But I can see how the family of the instructor who got his head blowed off by the 9 yr old kid with the Uzi might have.
It is indeed legal. But somebody fucked up. And B&B will have to deal with it, legally and financially, because you know there's going to be lawsuits.

People throwing money away, that's the mindset in LV, IMHO.

(905 posts)The other thousands of deaths just don't matter because this guy died when he failed to do his job at the range.

(2,186 posts)I forgot that gun deaths are different than death from say, a knife attack, a baseball bat attack, a drowning, a car accident, a poisoning, etc.

(16,974 posts)the powder in the case explodes to propel the bullet, whatever it is made of.
sarisataka
(18,633 posts)modern gun powder is a flammable solid. It burns rapidly, producing large quantities of gas which propel the bullet (which is inert metal). The primers are explosive, primarily lead styphnate but are extremely small. It takes a large quantity of primers to sympathetic detonate to cause harm or significant damage.
Black powder is an explosive.
In practical terms, this only matters to chemists and those of us with Hazmat certification. DOT is extremely fussy about what types of materials can be transported together and in what quantities
Duckhunter935
(16,974 posts)DonP
(6,185 posts)Black powder is explosive but smokeless is not, that's why you can ship it by mail or FedEx in most places.
sarisataka
(18,633 posts)Classed as an oxidizer. I believe very small quantities of black powder might, if I remember my chemistry.
I am used to bulk loads more than small quantity.
Black powder is placarded as explosive 1.1 with a category C IIRC. 1.1 is the most dangerous for detonation risk ; the C, or other letter, tells you what can be in the same load.
Smokeless powder is 1.4 C. Still a risk, but less so. It will not all go up at once without an ignition source. Even though both are classed C, you cannot mix items with different numbers without special ability to keep them separate.
I do know consumer use hazmat is classified ORM D. You can even see that in stores, such as on cases of aerosol cans. A cannister or two of powder might get an ORM D label, allowing commercial ground shipping.

(5,455 posts)it isn't about the deaths, it's all about the evil gunz!!!!!
They don't seem to care too much about the gun deaths in the inner cities either, it seems that their focus is on the legally owned guns.

More specifically, you have to learn to complain about gun porn at every opportunity, post pics of people with guns at every opportunity, field strip a 45 underwater, and be able to identify people carrying concealed at 10 paces.
