Man practicing open carry law robbed of gun (Portland, OR)

http://koin.com/2014/10/07/man-practicing-open-carry-law-robbed-of-gun/

A man practicing his open carry right was robbed of the gun he was openly carrying.

William Coleman III was robbed of his Walter- brand P22 just after 2:00 a.m. October 4 in Gresham by a young man who asked him for it — and flashed his own weapon as persuasion.

Coleman, 21, was talking to his cousin in the 17200 block of NE Glisan St., after purchasing the handgun earlier that day, when a young man asked him for a cigarette, police said.

The man then asked about the gun, pulled a gun from his own waistband and said “”I like your gun. Give it to me.”

Coleman handed over the gun and the man fled on foot.

in schools. The guy with his penis * er, gun * showing is the first target if Wayne's bad guy with a gun shows up. Kill him off first and now the bad guy has TWO guns.

Can one of the open carry enthusiasts 'splain this to me?

Why is it that controllers are so fascinated with that part of a man's anatomy?

referring to open carry assholes as having penis substitutes? Inquiring minds want to know . . .

As long as you practice your agoraphobia on private property it's okay by me.

I followed the OP from GD where it was locked. Then the over sensitivity to penis substitutes overcame my better instincts.

must be the NSA snooping again.
Do you think it's appropriate to compare gun owners as having penis substitutes? Or referring to firearms as a penis?
Or gun owners constantly being called gun humpers, gun lovers, blood on our hands, etc?
Not you for the most part, but it is a constant here on DU by many.

Perhaps this woman learned (obviously not enough) from his bad example.

I'm not sure she'd score high marks on comfort and accessibility.

Got to give her credit for an attitude-laden booking photo, though. Looking at that, I get the sense she has no idea why these uppity cops are messing with her, and she demands to be allowed to go about her business...

Then he could use the second gun to protect the first. Maybe even a third to protect the second, which is protecting the first.
