Arizona man finds gun inside used golf bag

(snip)

Grewing says he spotted the set in a Sedona thrift store Tuesday and did not go through the bag until the next day.

He took the weapon to Bullhead City police, who say it was not registered or reported lost or stolen.

Grewing of Bullhead City, who is a recreational target shooter, says it's fortunate a child didn't find the gun.

It probably isn't worth too much and likely doesn't have much stopping power. If the guy's a target shooter, though, he might get some use out of it, assuming it hasn't been exposed to the elements and rusted too much.

This is an odd post.

I'm going to light the barbecue and stick the prawn scallop salmon tuna kabobs on in time to eat during the sunset over the Pacific.

Lots of dolphins today and one whale!

Although I can't complain, I live in the mountains here in Flagstaff, beautiful time of the year, everything is blooming, weather is mild, good times.

I'm a country boy but water's in my blood, grew up on a little farm on a river and we used to come to this place where, 50 years ago, I caught my first fish.
My dream to eventually live in this same place where we came every summer came true last year!

Mountainscapes are fantastic, just like ocean views, and maybe more rich in the way things change through the year.

Enjoy!

As far as I know there is no system in Arizona that allows for registering guns.

The same sort of reporting was done in Minnesota. A county sheriff made a similar quote that was published in the newspaper. I wanted to call thexsheriff and ask how to register a gun in his county.

without any permit, the govt. has no idea who owns what, and that's the way we like it.

There is no system for registering firearms in Minnesota where I live. A CCW permit is required and an 8- hour class that ends with a qualicying shoot at a range is required to get the permit. I actually think the class is a good idea. It seems that a large portion of the class is spent on informing people the huge of barrel of shit they will be opening if they brandish their weapon let alone fire it. (I don't have a CCW permit, but four close relatives are legally able to carry.)

but he fails to answer it again. Nice of that host to make that allegation without any proof. He really needs to put up or shut up.

Maybe he will read this and prove me wrong

So Electric Monk, what proof do you have for this statement or are you going to apologize to us in this group?

Thanks. I think that skill comes from practice, as some are on their 5th or 6th sock.

That is in response to posters in this group not going over the line with behavior.

I feel that host of that group that made the charge of members of this group will be to scared to answer and might have to run to Skinner again about how we are bad people for asking a question.

Still have not answered if this was him but I am sure it was that posted this nice insult directed at me on his alert.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Calling out the host (EM) of a safe haven group (GCRA) that this person (duckhunter) has long been blocked from (gun nuts not allowed), for something not even written by that host. Hosts aren't responsible for everything posted by other members. This arrogant gun nut needs to be reminded what website they are on, and they are not on ar15.com.

Intentionally rude, hurtful, inappropriate = hide.

Their "commitment" to gun control activism shines through again.

The interest there died out even faster than it usually does for all those gun control true believers.

But I guess I'm still the "worst right wing troll on DU" until one of you supplants me.

Well, that and Skinner doesn't know what he's doing, according to the gun control crowd.
