Sam Morgan owns El Paso Concealed Carry and teaches certification classes. He said the business usually sees about 20 people go through classes a month.
"We've had 42 students that came through for the month of April and approximately 40 the prior month," Morgan said.
Morgan said the increase could be because of potential sweeping changes to gun regulations in Texas.

While I don't really think open carry is a good idea, I've got to wonder how many new applicants will start to conceal carry.

IOW, it is OK to open carry in Adobe Town but not downtown Rock Springs

I'm not saying it should be (or shouldn't be) illegal in urban populated ideas, but I'm not among those making it customary.

(17,502 posts)like the assholes on You Tube. I tend to think they are more about getting a false arrest pay day than about rights.

(3,071 posts)I have an issue related to concealed handguns. Here, the climate means we wear shorts and golf/fishing shirts a great part of the year. "Printing" can be a problem. Worse is the safety issue of carirying small automatics in pants pockets. Open carry means that PSDs can be carried discretely without the worry of CHL violation.
