Armed with strollers and hashtags, activist aiming for gun reform in Nevada

Watts’ group, Moms Demand Action, is a growing force here and a partner with Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety, which pledged $50 million in 2014 to fight to expand background checks state by state.

Everytown is the driving force behind a ballot initiative here that will ask voters next year if gun purchases between private buyers and sellers should be vetted by the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (Gov. Brian Sandoval vetoed a measure to do so in 2013).

Nevada could be the 19th state to expand background checks if the ballot initiative passes in 2016. With the help of Bloomberg and Watts, Washington and Oregon have done so in the past year.

Since Nevada participates in the NICS as a Full POC, I would hope their system for private transfers would be to contact a Nevada law enforcement agency designated to check both state and federal databases. The green states in the map currently have checks go straight to the federals, missing any state issues that may not have yet made it to the FBI's database or that, possibly due to local privacy laws, may never reach the FBI.

Notice that South Carolina is green.

community saw Bloomberg and Monsanto Mommy moving to Nevada next. If you know someone who needs a job, Bloomberg is hiring people to walk around with petitions.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
The devil is always in the details though.

Nice to have a multi-billionaire to fund your AstroTurf organization and bus people in to the PR executives functions.

Would you care to make a comment on your OP or should I say Google dump as you you have done the same in excess of 600 times.

If you can count to 2, you can make this sandwich. If you can’t count to 2, here’s a quick lesson — one, two. Now, all you need is 2 slices of bread, 2 slices of cheese and 2 slices of SPAM® Classic. Get ready for a grilled cheese that’s almost 2 delicious.

Ingredients
1 12-ounce can SPAM® Classic, sliced into 8 pieces
2 slices bread
1 tablespoon butter
2 slices cheese

Directions
1
In small skillet, cook SPAM® Classic over medium-high heat, turning once, about 5 minutes.
2
Spread one side of each slice bread with butter. Place in skillet, butter-side-down; top 1 slice with cheese. Cook until cheese is melted and bread is toasted. Cover cheese with 2 pieces of SPAM® Classic and 1 slice of cheese. Cover with top slice bread.

As a concept UBC is a great idea with universal desire. However, the devil is in the details of the implementation. Here in Washington state we got screwed by a bad implementation and lots of fraudulent TV ads that pushed it.
