ST. PAUL, Minn. - Three juveniles were arrested in connection with a robbery that left a fourth teen dead, after one of the victims pulled out a gun and fired.
St. Paul Police say the four teens attempted to rob two adults near Summit Avenue and Mississippi River Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. on Friday.
Investigators say one of the teens approached the two people while wearing a mask and gloves, holding a handgun. That's when one of the victims pulled out their gun and shot the suspect.
Police say the victim immediately called 911 and rendered first aid while the three other suspects fled the scene. The victim has a valid conceal and carry permit, according to authorities.

(4,462 posts)It was a sad waste of a life. However, I would feel far worse if the innocent victims suffered any harm, and I have great sympathy for the shooter who was forced to defend his and his companion's lives. A teenager should understood the nature and criminality of a group armed robbery, and the remaining three assailants should face the full force of the law, including the possibility of felony murder charges.

Tragic waste of a young life. It appears guidance was offered but he chose to ignore it.
