An Oley Township man awakened at gunpoint early Tuesday wounded two intruders and was shot himself in the process, state police at Reading said.
A resident of Mill Road told police he was awakened at 1:06 a.m. by a man pointing a gun at him. He grabbed his own weapon and fired rounds at the intruder and chased him to the steps, police said.
The victim saw someone pointing a gun at him at the bottom of the steps, and additional shots were fired, police said.
The resident was wounded, along with the two intruders, police said.
Penn State Health St. Joseph reported two gunshot victims were dropped off at the hospital by two unidentified men.
