The gun control group also plans to turn up the pressure on Sens. Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.) and Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.), who both previously voted against the Manchin-Toomey background check bill in 2013.


During a speech last fall in New York, Schumer told the Brady Campaign he would lead the charge for expanded background checks in the Senate.

“If we could do it then, we can do it now,” Schumer said in his November speech, according to Brady. “We are going to bring the universal background check bill to the floor of the senate early next year, and with your help we are going to win.”

The Brady group was then disappointed to not see legislation from Schumer.

Heitkamp is one of my favorites, she will just tell them to pound sand. Schumer though is going to cough up a bill that will be DOA in committee.

When she represents citizens who do not favor increased gun control? Smart move jackasses. Maybe you should attack Manchin too, or Reid.

4. If you don't toe the controller line you get attacked

Perhaps the controllers would prefer a republican senator replace Heitkamp, because that's what we'll have if she votes against the wishes of the people she was elected to represent. Maybe a republican should replace Manchin too. Then in addition to gun control going nowhere, other issues that Dems support will be dead as well.

Guns act by themselves. They'll vote in a republican if you don't keep them locked up.

Maybe a republican should replace Manchin too.
