How many of you read this:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1014&pid=1648072

And then thought this:

I believe this is in alignment with the GC&RKBA SOP in the sense that it serves as a symbol for how effective the pro-rights argument is....even though we didn't ask for a culture war, we are winning it. Pro-rights is a winning position. Discuss.

I was discussing this with my sister; yes, we need better gun laws to prevent oeople with violent histories or mental issues from getting hands on weapons. But... We need to not think for a damn second that we can stop gun ownership. As a black person, I always get suspicious when folks talk about banning things that have been legal for years. Maybe I feel like they only ban shit when we are allowed to have it; hell, I think they might ban money if all if us got rich real quick like, and they found themselves poor. That's just my perspective, my conspiracy theory. When they start snatching guns it will be ours first. If they ban them it will be because we all have them.

I want a black nra and more black gun clubs and shit. I would love to dump all weapons in a volcano and go back to swords but in this world I am not trying to be bringing a sword to a gunfight. Plus I want to hunt a moose next year. I bought a new deep freezer, need to fill it up.

As for the song. You prolly would have to post the lyrics if you want anyone besides me to know wtf they just said, lol.

who have long supported gun ownership. Most true "gun control" advocates just want to ban the $hit out of guns.

Many black folks have fought for the right to own and carry guns. Otis McDonald ended the Chicago gun ban when he demanded the city recognize his rights all the way to the Supreme Court. I could go on for days.

Gun control got its start in California in response to black people carrying guns. So your conspiracy theory is just fact. http://www.theatlantic.com/amp/article/308608/

There are more black people on the NRA board than on the editorial staff for Huffington Post. Think about that for a minute.

Always a pleasure, bravenak.

"The Gun Control Act of 1968 was passed, not to control guns, but to control blacks."

I.e., it wasn't the assassinations, it was the "inner city riots."

an evil "assault weapon". Semi auto, "large capacity" feeding device, and the ever popular, eviiiil bayonet mount. All it needs is a shoulder thingy that goes up.

While the Mulford Act was already mentioned, it is also why Florida banned open carry in 1893. At the time, black farm workers often open carried pistols, causing some whites, especially those in power, to clutch their pearls.

The ones I have attended in the Tampa Bay area of Florida have always welcomed minorities. I have helped a lot of people learn how to safely handle a handgun and improve their proficiency at shooting at gun ranges over the years and some were black, some were Hispanic and some were members of the LGTBQ community.
