"Individual liberty and freedom are not outmoded concepts," San Diego-based U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez wrote as he declared unconstitutional the law that would have banned possessing any magazines holding more than 10 bullets.

After 1.5 million standard capacity magazines were sent to Cali. Now the 9th gets to come up with a reason why Judge Benitezs' ruling was unconstitutional. They better make it a good one or this may go to scotus 
He also stipulated in the stay that the magazines purchased during the 8 days between his ruling and the stay were legal and people that bought them couldn't be prosecuted under the California standard capacity magazine ban law.
