Georgia governor signs sweeping gun control law banning knives, most handguns and concealed carry.

The legislation was signed by governor George Rockingham Gilmer (no idea the party) in 1837. It was struck down as unconstitutional by the state supreme court in a case called Nunn v State of Georgia.
OK so I'm a history geek and it is April first.

until April 2. Lately it's difficult to tell the difference between jokes and republican legislating.

the headline is very old. The more I learn about history, the more I realize that conventional wisdom and "common sense" is usually nonsense.

The Republicans have been sounding like the Onion for the past 20 years, why should today be any different?

Baseball bats, screwdrivers, fertilizer, diesel fuel, bleach, hammers all need to be declared illegal. I for one am selling my two weapons and throwing out my 4" knife in support of this law.
