The masked robbers started yelling at Pierre to give them money, so he grabbed the first thing within reach, which was a wooden coat hanger.

Pierre yelled for his stepfather, then yelled at the intruders to get out, while warding them off with the coat hanger.

Marco, a Marine veteran, then came up behind the robbers with a .357 Magnum revolver.

He shot one round at the two suspects, which missed and lodged in a wall.
