Al Jazeera reports on increases in the number of women who take up firearms for hunting, self-defense and general sport-shooting. The news outlet cites increases in the number of women attending range events and hunting activities.

Please note in the video where women hog-hunters take out a hog which has been "grabbed" by a hunting dog (evidently properly trained to back off the bayed pig). The weapons used are semi-auto carbines -- the type banners want to ban the most, even as it supplants the traditional wood & blue steel bolt-actions I grew up with.

These women seemed quite pleased with themselves and their new-found skills. And I say Hoo-ray! to that.
