Excellent movie, great commentary on contemporary American culture and politics. Meryl Streep as Trump was great, as was Jonah Hill as a Javanka-like character.

In search of the Holy Grail

Excellent parody

Another sleeper sci-fi movie I recommend on Netflix is Synchronic

Underneath the main story line there's a continuing thread of what should have been a scandal but isn't about a Supreme Court appointee, a sheriff in the style of Sheriff Arpaio who doesn't have a law degree but is a big contributor to and apparently the lover of the Trumpazoid president, who is discovered to have sent him the female version of a dick pic but nobody cares.

Anyhow, the script was mostly written by the director, Adam McKay. I recommend it.

In the end, we're screwed. American society is so far down the rabbit hole, we'd rather kill ourselves for greed, vanity or a political win than save humanity.

I mean, when you think about it."

The last line.

I watched it because of this thread.
