Related: About this forumWhat air defense can we give Ukraine?
Did we still have any old Hawk antiaircraft missile systems still in storage? Or old Vulcan anti-aircraft vehicles?
Im old school, and dont know what else is still in inventory from old days. Hawks would help Ukraine greatly with their drone and helicopter issues.
Anybody know? Anything pre-Patriot missile hardware?
We provide multiple Patriot air defense batteries to questionable ally Saudi Arabia to protect them from the Houthis and Iran, we should certainly provide them to Ukraine.

(1,266 posts)Which is a very advanced short to medium range AD system. Once the war ends well likely provide Patriot but thats an extremely complicated system to operate so it will take time for the Ukrainians to get up to speed with it.
HAWK left the inventory over 30 years ago.

(1,266 posts)(Except for a couple protecting Washington DC). But we do widely use the missile launched by the system and have many in stock. Weve promised 18 systems, and some have already been delivered.
