Fiduciary account

A doctor, without any testing, told the VA fiduciary people that I was no longer fit to be my husbands fiduciary and I would also need a fiduciary. My psychiatrist made me an appointment to have a neuropsych evaluation. My worse score was average and 3 scores were superior. Also my psychiatrist sent them a letter stating that I could still take care of our finances. The committee has not made a determination yet and I was told it could take 4 months. Friday we get our VA disability and the new fiduciary, who I don't know, wants me to give her all our financial information over the phone. She just called me today for the first time and can not even tell me if I am getting the money or if it is going into our new fiduciary accounts. We have bills that are do on Monday and if I don't have the money these bills will not be paid. Most of our bills are autopay in my disability account or in my husband's disability account. Now I know why my VAO has a plaque on his desk, "I love my country, it is the government I don't trust.".

They have contacts with V.A. that you and I don't.

Then, go to your local V.A. office. Each county is supposed to have such an office.

Bring all documents.
Good luck.

Or, do it as you're arranging to meet with VA.

If bills are coming due, fire all the guns.

Also, meet with the assigned fiduciary. If they're empowered, they can pay the bills while all this is getting straightened out.

The Veterans Administration is pretty good, as long as you can avoid actual administrators.

My fiduciary called today to tell me I can not pay my bills such as cell phones and insurance with my MasterCard. I can not pay my mortgage with autopay. Everything is going to be separate. I called the main fiduciary office and told the woman who is in charge of my fiduciary and started telling her all the changes I have to do. She said calm down. She said to call her Tuesday and she will tell me there is a letter in the mail from the VA stating that I do not need a fiduciary and I will remain my husbands fiduciary and since I had not closed his account everything will be the same as it was.
