I was given a jacket today the vets and the widow called a "honor jacket" .

And I personally don't think I deserve it

The man in question it represents sounds like he was a Super Man. I'm just some homeless gal just trying to survive.

The gentleman's widow said from what she has been told about me that he would want me to have it. But I don't know, he sounds like a real hero, something I'm not.

I don't know if I should have turned it down. They seem so happy for me to have it. I've been setting here looking at it and I don't know what to think about it. Don't know if I should try give it back, hang it up on my wall when I get my place, what.

That's why I'm turning to you guys. What do I do with this memory of what sounds like a true hero. I really don't feel worthy .

1. Accept the honors people give you, even if you think you don't deserve it.

The point is not what you think about yourself, the point is what they think of you. You don't have to believe it, but it would be disrespectful to turn down the honor they think you deserve.

Apparently everyone wanted to be in his squad back in Vietnam. He always brought his men back. Even got shot a couple of times doing it.
