But for whatever reason you have an occasion to ride in one, dont forget about the running boards when you get out. I did this morning and I was lucky and nothing bad happened but something like that is very, very easy to forget.

Lived in Detroit during the Purple Gang days.
Drove into the midst of some shenanigans.
Cop jumps on running board and says, "Follow that car!!"
Moments later says, "You're too damn slow!" and jumps off running board.
The end.
