Related: About this forumI need guidance and or advice
I live in Illinois and my brother in law is in a memory care facility and is rapidly running out money. Does anyone know about any programs to find housing for low income nursing homes etc. I've tried applying for Medicaid but can't seem to get anywhere. He has SS income and that's it. Any advice from someone who has been through this or has knowledge of the system would be appreciated. Thanks.

They should be able to help.
I believe most counties have senior centers & perhaps they can help with Medicaid paperwork.
Good luck!

An elder-law attorney, not a trusts and estates attorney, will be able to help you if the situation is as you describe. Of course, you may have to pay the bill.
