Racist 'white replacement theory' goes mainstream with Republicans

May be time for us to show up at school board meeting and raise hell about this right-wing concept being used in OUR schools. Those yelling it and carrying tiki torches in Charlottesville is just one example. Looks like the FOX crew is promoting it too. This article is a good start and there are many more.

What it is: "White replacement theory" posit the existence of a plot to change America's racial composition by methodically enacting policies that reduce white Americans' political power.

The conspiracies encompass strains of anti-Semitism as well as racism and anti-immigrant sentiment.

Driving the news: Fox News host Tucker Carlson has for years alluded to elements of replacement theory. Former President Trump emboldened some believers, as well, including by retweeting accounts that identified themselves as believers in "white genocide."

Carlson's recent defiance, in the face of the Anti-Defamation League's calls for him to resign, have put these conspiracies back into the spotlight, along with the pronouncements of some high-profile elected officials.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) last week tweeted an explicit endorsement of WRT. Gaetz later tweeted that he doesn't think of replacement "solely on race/ethnicity terms," blaming "the Left" for taking him out of context.

Yes, America is becoming less white, not that it's ever been completely homogenous. Think Chinese laborers who were quite literally Shanghaied to become nearly slave labor on the railroads, Caribbean slaves brought in from Africa who were then sold into manumission in the Deep South, Mexican "migrants" who worked the farms, canneries and wharfs in this century for pennies on the dollar. The irony in all of this is that white, wealthy conservative businessmen were at the forefront of bringing over this cheap or unpaid labor, and the descendants of those businessmen are now shocked that the descendants of their forced labor are finally outnumbering them.

they will remain the largest minority group for a very long time. In other words, along with most of the money, they will be the largest demographic group and maintain power.
My argument against the term "race" is how do you define it? My example and how I have used this. A, much larger and younger guy was complaining about Obama to me. I said to him, "you don't like him because you are a racist, you don't like him because he is half Irish, well I'm half Irish too, so you want to fuck with me". He turned, dropped his head and didn't know how to respond to me. Modern science says the concept of race is false as there are more genetic differences with in a so called race than there are between the so called races.
