White Middle-Schooler Beaten Unconscious by Group of Black Students

Seven central Florida teenagers were arrested after authorities said they punched and kicked a 13-year-old until she was unconscious while on a school bus.

The victim told authorities that Friday was her first time riding the bus and no one would let her sit down. About 75 children were riding the bus bound for a middle school in Ocala, a rural city north of Orlando. The victim said someone threw a shoe at her and she threw one back, according to an arrest report.

Williams said the victim, a white female, entered the back of the bus, and was told she would have to stand. Deputies said she was then hit by a shoe.

Interesting how the media shys away from mentioning this was a black and white crime. The local newspaper mentioned it, but the AP version did not.

If the girl beaten on that bus were black, and her attackers were white, there would have been a discussion of "hate crimes." Civil rights leaders would begin the chorus of national soul-searching. If the races were reversed, this would not be treated as an isolated incident. Criminal prosecution of those responsible would be only the beginning. "Society" would be made to answer for its lingering racist sinfulness if the victim were black. Well, which part of "society" will be made to answer for the beating of the thirteen-year-old Ocala girl?

1. Hate crimes law can still aply if there was racial motivations present.

FYI, hate crime laws don't apply JUST because there were two different races involved. Or JUST because the victims were black.

There has to be PROOF of racial motivations. In my experience, the idiots usually out themselves with their own big mouths.
