Who else listens to XM 128 'The Power?' I'm not happy with the recent lineup change

I'm in the car most days during the 6-7pm hour. I looked forward to listening to 'GW on the Hill,' which is my favorite show on the network. I really like the guy's style. He's got a great radio voice and he's very respectful to all of his callers, even those he doesn't agree with.

They still air GW at 4pm, but now from 5-7pm we get Rob Redding. No offense to the guy or his fans, but I'm not liking him so far. He's kind of, well, shrill. His presentation reminds me a bit of used car commercials. I'm sure he's an ok guy, but I don't think I'll be listening to him.

While I didn't much care for Mario Armstrong's show (the subject matter kind of bored me), the poor guy got bumped to 3am to make way for Redding.

Hiya RZM. I'm the online editor for Mario Armstrong Media and just wanted to clarify something. Mario's show didn't get booted to 3am, we actually switched from a daily format to a weekend only one. New shows air on 128 'The Power' at 5am and 6pm on Saturdays, as well as 10pm on Sundays (all times EDT).

Sorry to hear the show isn't for you, but being largely about tech I can understand that it isn't what everyone is looking for.

loved Mario's show, it used to be my drive time program unfortunately now its just a lot of shrill conversation, Mr. Redding is okay for some listeners, just not my cup of tea.
I haven't been able to hear Mario in his new time slot., really miss him

I first started listening to GW back in 2006 til he was taken off. I liked his style and had a lot of respect for him then. Then he was brought back I believe 2011 and it seemed to me that he was brought back on the condition that his show had to take the "blacks that don't support Obama" tone. I only say that because his core of about 12 callers called in like clock work only to bash PBO no matter what. GW tone was always as the PBO can do no right tone.

He would also talk down anybody that disputed his core callers "facts." It became completely obvious when his core callers would call the President disparaging remarks and GW would let it go but if someone called his core callers on that he would defend them to the end and talk down their critics.

I understand if you don't like the President for whatever reason but to be hypocritical about it in discussions I lost much respect fo him after he was brought back it appears to do just that.

Im glad he is off of XM now.
